I began my career as a Trainer with a want and desire for surrounding myself with healthy, passionate, like minded people. In all honesty I was initially attracted to the muscular and lean physiques. I learnt very quickly that the areas of life that improve alongside consistent regular exercise were far greater than what was possible from the exterior view. The self discipline we learn from being consistent to a goal and the quality of health, ability, and durability comes too. There is absolutely everything to be positive about adding muscle, or tone to the body. But I also was inspired by the ability to move freely, athletically, and gracefully. I wanted to find the best of both worlds. A complete way to optimize my body, mind, feel good, look good, and move well. Being physically fit and energetic with a clear mind has knocked down many barriers life has presented. Everything I do at The Future is Fit is about what you can achieve with what you have gained through a productive mindset, exercise, and nutrition. I can’t emphasize the health and function component enough.

After spending over 25yrs as a trade qualified chef immersed in food in every imaginable way both here in Brisbane, Sydney, Western Australia, and Europe something was missing. A bigger meaning. I read Michael Pollan’s, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, Catching Fire: How Cooking Made Us Human, and was introduced to On Food and Cooking: The Science and Lore of the Kitchen by Harold McGee. I then realised food had a much deeper meaning to me, and the world around me. I then completed an Advanced Diploma in Homeopathy which gave me a more complex insight into the human body. This has always fed my desire to work within the health realm. So with high curiosity, a passion for fitness including Martial arts, Gymnastics, CrossFit and all forms of weight training I entered into the fitness industry.

I’m on a mission to be the strongest version of myself.
